We all accept that losing any loved member of the family is a terrible worry and so we are always happy to help you locate any lost pets of your family.
Main Steps to take:
- If your pet is missing the first thing to do is ring local vets. Many members of the public will think of their local vets to be an option to take found animals. You may need to ring and check with all the local vets and don’t forget to leave your details in case they have your pet handed in at a later stage.
- Contact your local council any councils that may border your residential address (eg most likely Brisbane City or Moreton Bay Regional Council) as your pet may have been collected and placed in the pound for their well being.
- Check all your local walks or places you visit with your pets including any friends or other pet friends your pet may have. Often if you have been out your pet may have been seeking familiar places or other pet friends.
We carry a log of all reported lost and found pets. Please ring the surgery if you have lost a precious member of the family and we will do whatever we can to help you find your missing friend.
